The Five Steps To You – Part I

Cynthia Wate Blog 0 0

We all want to be leaders, be it at school or home or at work. What exactly is a leader? If you go through a book store or download one onto your device, you will be inundated with the feel good books of how to become a great leader. These incredible books, having been written by some of the world’s greatest leaders in their fields of expertise share with you their insights, experiences and success formula.  Have you discovered your own formula? What are the leadership qualities?

Have you ever wondered what it will take for you to become a steps-to-youleader? What does it mean to inspire others? What are the values, virtues and abilities required to become a leader? What will be your legacy? I want a legacy that includes inspiring people to become who they are meant to be. Do I have the qualifications? Do you? Does anybody? What does it mean to be a leader?

In my opinion, it starts with being honest with yourself. It is about taking control over what you really want to do with your life and not feeling shy about expressing it to yourself nor to others. In other words it means being genuine – ‘this above all: to thine own self be true; and it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man’ Hamlet, Shakespeare.

I believe that we are all here to create a change in someone’s life or more. The truly great leaders in this world started with a thought…the thought of wanting to change the course of their own path. To make history so that they would leave a legacy behind and be remembered.  They knew that they had to do one thing to launch this. That one thing is creating a change in ourselves. It is about taking a small step every day. If we can take that one step to change even a minuscule aspect of our perceptions, thoughts and actions, then we can inspire others not only by being who we are, but even with the vibrations that we send out. Will we trip on this path?  Of course, it is only natural but the faster we grasp the self-realizations, the easier the path will become. The more we learn about who we are, the more clarity we will have, and we will be able to make better choices.

Why do we tend to gravitate towards people who make us feel loved, joyful and prosperous? Why are we pulled towards those who do not treat us well? Because we need to learn and step outside this duality to reclaim consistency, to know who we are and what our purpose is…to know the origin of creation. How can we understand each other if we do not know our own self.

We are all looking for answers not realizing that we already have the information within ourselves, within our DNA. As I wrote in my book, The Phoenix Effect, the journey is about rediscovering who we really are and who we want to become.  It is about developing the leadership qualities and virtues from within by going above our own perspective. Start to recognize the signs that are constantly coming in your path, to see what the universe is showing you. If you can’t see, ask yourself why and release the fears.  At each step, you will gain clarity, as long as you choose to see.

Once you rise above your own fears you will realize how truly happy you can be.

We are waiting for someone or something to validate our work, our existence. To escape the key illusions of unworthiness or lack of skills, we need to understand that everything around us is an illusion and as we work on ourselves, we gain more power, more control over how we want our lives to be. The clarity of which skills to develop. The illusions, the traps start to fall away and when you have truly become the master of your own journey, specific karmic traps no longer come around to haunt you.  Once you have grasped the key self-realization, you will no longer attract the situations, the karmic traps nor the people that give you grief.  Our emotional ups and downs are all illusions too.  The mark of a great leader is one who has mastered himself/herself where they are on a constant and consistent state of existence where joy and abundance abide as per your self-mastered virtues.
